In the lesson
What a lesson looks like
No two lessons are identical, but most blend a warm-up, focused work on a current piece, a dash of theory or ear-training, and time to play something purely for fun. We move at your pace — never rushed, never stalled.
For younger students, that often means games, stories, and movement. For adults, it might mean digging into a favorite song or the "why" behind the music. Either way, you'll always leave knowing exactly what to practice next.
- There's no such thing as 'not musical' — only different starting points.
- Mistakes are information, not failures. We treat them as part of learning.
- Practice should be smart, not just long. I teach how to practice, not only what.
- Each student sets the destination; I help map the route.
